Science Talks: Soil Heath Heroes in the Saginaw Valley

Science Talks: Soil Heath Heroes in the Saginaw Valley

The Nature Conservancy in Michigan

event details

Details   Join us for coffee, cookies, and conservation! Join Mary Fales, Program Director, to learn more about local Saginaw Valley farmers who work hard to protect water quality and soil health. With nearly half of Michigan's largest watershed in agricultural production, keeping soil and nutrients on the land and out of area waterways is not only vital to the people and species that live here, but to our boating, fishing, and tourism industries. Register online at dowgardens.org/sciencetalks or call 800-362-4874. There is no fee to attend, but space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Directions: Turn on to Whiting Drive and take the immediate right to park at the Forest Café. Follow the trail to walk a short distance to the Forest Classroom.
