Come to Guatemala to install solar power on a medical clinic in western Guatemala! ATC projects improve the sustainability of local nonprofit organizations with solar energy solutions, engaging local community members in this appropriate technology through training and hands-on group installations.Learn-by-doing solar electrical connections around Quetzaltenango and beyond. Recent participants report ATC volunteer work projects as “life changing” and “the best vacation we ever had”. While most tourists never experience Guatemala up close, engaging in solar energy for community development benefits the whole group, including you!Take our Circuits & Solar workshop with local Guatemalan community members introducing the group to solar technology concepts. We have hosted folks from 12 - 80 years old, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and students from many colleges and universities. Our solar classes are intended for the general public but professional Engineers have enjoyed reviewing solar concepts and practical things like how to wire a light switch. Details: We pick you up from the airport, provide all your transportation, food and lodging.
