Our founder, Tim Terry served 15 years in prison himself, where he witnessed the harsh revolving door of recidivism, so he decided to create a program that addressed the critical facts that fuel recidivism: lack of housing, lack of jobs, and lack of a moral compass/faith.

FreshStart Visions Program highlights:

Men who participate in our in-prison program sign a social contract and live in a “character dorm unit,” separate from the general population  Character dorm residents heal, learn and grow through our 12-week or 50-week Men In Transition character class, and our Helping Inmates Receive Employment program.  Program graduates are eligible to live in our transitional housing in North Charleston upon release for up to 1 year, where they continue to live in a social contract environment (no drugs/alcohol, keeping a weekly budget, etc) as they re-enter society with employment, and reconcile with family members in a healthy way. We have partnered with several businesses across the Lowcountry and can proudly state all our present day Residents are employed in the community.   FreshStart Visions was designed for inmates who are within one-three years of release. Inmates believe in this program because it allows them to share their feelings and concerns, and work on establishing why they came to prison, and learn how to establish a closer relationship with God.  Show Less<<
